LOL! The Internet brings people of no interest to each other in person.

Yeah, if you're not any good at finding people who share your interests.

I'm probably going to go drink some beer later with a couple other guys in the area who do the street photography thing, who I met on another forum that's a little more geared toward that. We might even get and shoot some photos.

You didn't meet anyone at UH? I consider myself to have low social skills, but I manage to meet a lot of people there. You can also go to the park. I met a few people walking my dog at the park. You can also go to the club. Tons of people around your age there. I met quiet a few myself.

I haven't had any experience with the Internet, but I'm just speaking on other people's experiences.

You see, once I meet someone in person and establish that A) they're not a whacko B) they don't annoy me and C) they don't bore me, then it ceases to matter to me how I first made contact with them.

In the age of social networking, everyone's "from the Internet." I talk to my own family more online than I do in real life, though that has to do with not many of them living in the city like I do.

Hahaha I can't resist I have to share the story of how I got my handle. Wayyy back before the WWW there was only email and IRC (internet chat). Well I'd pop onto IRC to actually get useful information or maybe waste some time. As soon as I would log in, all these strange people would come out from under their rocks and start assaulting me with all these messages like "are you M or F??" and/or "want to cyber??"

I changed my name to TotalFat and all of that stopped 100%.
