Hello,

I'm visiting my family in Houston this week and am wondering what to do. I grew up in Houston and am pretty familiar with it. I've got all sorts of restaurants I have to go to, and I was planning on taking my girlfriend to the Orange Show and the Menil collection/Rothko chapel, but I'm trying to familiarize myself with whatever's shown up since I left. Is there anything new in the last two years that I shouldn't miss? Especially stuff around downtown/midtown/montrose.

Thanks

Discovery Green Downtown is a wonderful park and I think they still have the outdoor ice rink open. They have concerts, jazz music and other special activities. Check out the downtown Houston website for more info.
