I found a brick, 1900 sqft, 3br, 2 bath home in this zip code. It's on Hay Slip Lane, Silver Meadows TH subdivision. It has a pool, shed. 2 car garage and workshop as well. Nice open floor plan around 99k. Anyone know this area? Safe? Rathole? Any other comments welcome. Commute is not an issue. TIA

It's surrounded by some rough commercial - based on previous sales, I don't think it will appraise for over $90K. Have you seen it?

Put the address in google maps and do the satellite view. You'll be able to see the surroundings of the neighborhood.

I've been through that area frequently, I think cherryjohns may refer to all the warehouses, small factory & fabrication business that are adjacent to neighborhoods in that area.

Yes - LOL - no tatoo parlors that I noticed. Not that rough - just not residential, once you drive out of the subdivision.r

85K is better - I know they are probably looking for $95K, but that's unrealistic for the subdivision.

Many thanks for all the replies. The google maps idea is a real touchdown- I never knew google had all those features. I can actually see street views of the house and the nieghborhood and rotate them. The house is actually on the corner of Overlook Drive and Hay Slip Lane.
