Default Also moving to Houston

Hi

I graduated last this year with my nursing degree and my husband with his accounting degree. We are moving to Houston in April 2008. We dont have any children. We are in our mid 20's and still like to go out and enjoy the nite life. We dont plan to start a family until about 2 to 3 years from now so we deifinitly would like a apartment. I looked at a few online. Can any one tell me about these?

The marquis on eldrige 4848 pin oak park drive 77081
RENAISSANCE VILLAGE 12951 BRIAR FOREST 77077
BRIAR MEADOWS 1414 S DAIRY ASHFORD 77077
PARK LAKES 9955 BUFFALO SPEEDWAY 77054
ARCH STONE 8181 FANNIN ST 77054

ARE THESE GOOD NEIGHBOR HOOD?

Does anyone have teens or pre-teens that have moved to houston recently, or are planning on moving there soon, if you do how did they handle the change? I have a son going into the 10th grade and a daughter going into the 7th grade when we move. I am a little worried on the impact of the change.

I just moved to Pearland from Seattle about a month ago. I'm really enjoying the Houston area so far. Houston is diverse, people are friendly, weather is good and the cost of living is great.

Don't move to Renaissance Village or Briar Meadows. Arch Stone is less than 5 minutes from the Texas Medical Center and it's ok. Check apartmentratings.com for more info. You can pm me for more info as well.

Yeah - check apartment ratings on Archstone in the medical center on Fannin, with all their rats and one dumpster for all 1000+ residents. Also read my previous posts about living there. What a rip off.

Never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And folks....it's OK not to like it here. And if you don't like it here, everyone's better off if you go someplace where you're happy. I'll be the first to say that Houston, and Texas in general, are not for everyone.

Smile Just moved here from Phoenix and Love it

I just moved here about 2 months ago from Phoenix. I bought a house for far less than it would cost in Phoenix, there are plenty of jobs here and the area is not suffering like the rest of the nation.

We like the fact that it is so green here and the air seems much cleaner that Phoenix (Phoenix has a visible brown haze hanging over it and when you look at things in the distance they are obcured by the smog YUK!!)
