is it hard to find apartment that
accepts dogs and that leases for short term? We will be looking to buy a house and need a place to stay until then....

Not hard at all. Most will give you discounts for contracts of over 7mths, but if you want month to month, you just have to pay about $150 more per month. Dogs usu have weight/type limitations but most dogs will be ok. You do have to pay extra for pets.

Depends on the breed and weight. If you can't find a place, you might consider leaving the dog(s) with a family member until you close on a house. Or you could try to rent a house from a pet-friendly landlord and sign a 6 month lease.
