IB high Schools in Houston Area
We are considering a job offer in Houston. My son has started an IB International Baccalaureate program and would like to get his IB diploma. We need a house in the $200,000-$300,000 range. Are there any neighborhoods with houses in this range zoned for IB high schools? Another possibility would be a magnet IB school willing to take a student in the middle of the year. Private school is a possibility if they take students mid year.

Lamar HS in Houston ISD is an IB School--and I think
Bellaire HS is as well--
is your husband working in Houston Metro or someplace north or south--where there might be other school districts--
unlike many states TX school districts and TX towns do not automatically share the same boundaries--there are some school districts that overlap 3 cities' limits and some cities that have 3 different school districts within their boundaries....
confusion reigns and you need to definitely determine drive time and nearness to work--Houston is one of worst places in TX to be driving to work...

Hi, We are planning to move to Houston form Asia and have a similary query. Our son will start the IB Diploma ( Grade11) next year.Work will be on16800 Imperial Valley Drive. Can anyone suggest which school district will suit us?
Also, he has been taking Hindi as his second language. Will that be an issue? If so., how do we circumvent it ?
Thanks in advance

I have friends in Pearland ISD with children in the PISD IB Program. A big neighborhood in Pearland is Silverlake with homes in your price range.

Newcomer2Houston, I don't think Hindi as a second language is a problem. You might want to contact Bellaire HS or Clements HS, both have big foreign language departments. Not sure if Hindi is one of their language offerings yet.
