This is definitely incredibly sad, and my heart goes out to this family, but do we really need a law? It's not like the shot isn't available. If you want it, get it. No one has ever been stopped from getting the shot, it has always be a personal choice. If you decide not to get it, I pray that you don't get meningitis, as no one deserves that, but no one stopped this kid, or any other kid, from getting the vaccine.

More people die of the flu and there are no laws requiring the flu vaccine (except maybe as conditions of certain health career field employment).

Great, so they make it required (which i disagree with) but Texas has exemption laws, and that will still apply here.
