Hi everyone,

I'd like to know everyone's opinion on your choice of fence material.

I hear a lot of good things about cedar and it being better but more costly, but is treated wood really bad? I was told that most people use treated wood. Is it really that bad and will it really break in 2 or so years?

The cedar fence around my yard has been there since 1984. A few boards had to be replaced a few years ago. It started looking shabby so we planted fig ivy on it. Now the ivy goes down the block. Everyone loves it. We trim it back 3 or 4 times a year. Takes about 2 hours.
