Default Hotel Positions in Houston

I am currently a senior in college, and will be graduating with my bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Management soon. I was born and raised in the city of Pittsburgh, Pa and i currently work at a Hilton property downtown Pittsburgh. Is anyone familiar with the hospitality field in Houston ? Is there a huge tourist area where there are a lot of hotels & restaurants. I'm looking for management positions with a hilton or Marriott property in the heart of the city and i will also like to rent a apartment around 600-800$ month i suppose; any ideas? or should i look to re-locate somewhere else honestly how is Houston's economy.

I have to get out of Pittsburgh this town sucks; its always cold. & there is no diversity at all!

Economy is not bad. Seems to be about 5000 hotels in Houston so you should be able to find something.

Might want to make sure you got a job lined up before you move. We do have our own schools churning out hotel mgmt majors all looking for jobs. The economy is better here than other places, but it's not exactly a booming free for all either.
