Hi All,

We are thinking about moving to Houston as my wife will be going to school at Texas Medical Center in Houston.

We have a 2 years old kid, we are looking for an apatment near Medical Center which has a bus / train facility to the medical centre and a near by baby care center.

Can you please suggest us.

Thanks in Advance for your responses....

I wish I had known this before, but avanti is nice and almost brand new. For aroudn 850 (single bedrm), you can get a nice place. I really wouldn't go much less than that because then you start to get into a lot of dirty older apts. I stayed at 8181 fannin for about 750/mth, and they were always coming into my apt for some reason or another and they recently had a bedbug outbreak. I also stayed at versaille and really liked it, but it was pricier...aroudn 920, but I liked it so much I stayed there for 3 yrs.

not affiliated with any of those apts other than i stayed/visited those places.

You will also want to check out UT Housing. The university runs a shuttle directly from the complex to the School of Public Health and other UT schools in the medical center. The UT Child Development Center is right next door, as is the recreation center.

If you are talking about the UT School of Public Health the best option by far is university housing:
UTHSC - Housing Program

Check out my previous posts about some other options if this is not available to you.
