I'll put it like this: comparing Houston and Atlanta is like comparing UGK and Outkast. Two different styles and different subject matter, but still comparable in so many ways.
what on earth is a UGK?

Houston and DFW are not as alike as you would think for two large metros in the the same state

What Houston and Dallas share is not as much Texas culture, but rather that which is characteristic of the State of Texas (if you see what I mean)...after that, they're about as different from each other as any of the other Southern metros.

no you got it all f-upped.

DFW is more like ATL than Houston is to either.
Just because Houston is not like DFW doesn't mean it is like ATL.

Houston is more coastal than either DFW and ATL, and the people are more relaxed because they descended from Fishermen like Jesus and they smoke that good herb
