Default Friendswood vs. Clear Lake City/Clear Lake Shores

My husband and I have relocated from Connecticut to the Houston area. We are in our early 30's and newly married. We are looking for a custom built home in the price range of $600,000 to $800,000.

We would like to know what area is most sought after, the best schools, custom homes, etc. among Friendswood, Clear Lake City and Clear Lake shores and Seabrook.

We appreciate your help!!!

THANK YOU..........

I believe both Friendswood High and Clear Lake High are considered top notch schools, although they're also cliquish and competitive. All those areas are close by one another with Friendswood on the other side of The Gulf Freeway. The Clear Lake/Seabrook area is closer to the water and great for boating. The Friendswood area might remind you more of Connecticut. It's a small, growing town with its own little business district and a lot of nice neighborhoods and parks.

Academically, Friendswood is superior. They also have a very impressive fine arts program. It's growing, but not nearly as fast as some of the surrounding communities like Pearland and Dickinson. Your price range will suit you just fine there, but have you looked into the property taxes? I don't know what they're like in Connecticut but they're rather high in Texas.
