You know someone in your office has suggested it before.

I thought Magic Island was closed after hurricane ike.

I have two kids under 7 and I enjoy taking a picnic to the zoo....gotta get there first thing when it opens though to really enjoy it without the crowds.

Please do not go to Dave and Busters for food. Games are fun but I do not recommend eating there. You might find a restaurant nearby and then go.

Kemah is an excellent idea. It's fun for all ages and there are so many restaurants that are decent.

Doesn't Katy have an Alamo Drafthouse? Have you been? Good food and drinks (incl beer and wine) served to you while you watch a movie. Depending on the movie, it might be fun for the whole family. I wish the inner loop had one.

Taste of Texas is good but maybe not so much fun for the kids- especially the waiting. The wait can be loooong.
