Craigslist and Backpage will give you a lot of non-qualified dregs as well. If you are seriously going to be renting property, get your RE License and list them yourself. If this is just a one and done thing, I would get a realtor and list it on MLS. Most realtors will bring clients ready to rent ASAP. The whole process will cost you a months rent though, so you have to factor that in.

All great advice. We spoke to our real estate agent, and her advice was in-line with CheryJohns. She said she could list it for one month's rent, but to try to rent it on our own first. She'd help us with our background checks.

It's a one and done for us. Not looking to make a huge profit, but rather hold on to a property in a neighborhood we think might be a little better in a year or two.

Thanks Modster too, we have a home warranty already and didn't know if we could continue to use it with renters. I totally agree, they can easily service the property for their usual minimum charge.

Thanks all....great tips! Suburbs...here we come!
