How do you compare HPD and NYPD in terms of getting the job done? Yes, both are large cities and large population. I think NY might be safer but others may say otherwise.. Thoughts??

NYPD and I'd say NYC is safer. You'll have certain places in certain burroughs, but for the most part I'd have no problem using the subways, streets.

Moving to Houston I noticed the police here ride alone, and..they give tickets for EVERYTHING. Never see cops up north stopping people for tickets. You'll probably get one for parking, and usually by a meter or meter maid. But with HPD that seems to be their way of fighting crime. Tickets.

We get it. NYC is better than Houston. Do you need to compare every aspect of it. If you really are moving to Houston, please don't be the type of New Yorker that spends every day talking about how great NYC is and how much you miss it. I spent my first 28 years of life in South Florida surrounded by people like this. They would talk about how they can't wait to move back but had lived in SoFla for 15-20 years. They were never going back. I love the fact that almost everyone I know in Houston is from somewhere else and I never hear how great where they came from is and how they want to go back.

Yeah.......just stay in NYC. Not only will you be happier, but so will we. Less complaining and whining.
