Default commute, schools, energy corridor

We are trying to decide which school to send our kids to. We have three options: Awty, Village, Yorkshire Academy. At this point we really considering Awty and Village as Yorkshire is only elementary school. We both work in the energy corridor. So Village school is ideal in terms of location. However, Awty appears to be a stronger school. What zip codes close to Awty would be good to live in considering that both of us are in energy corridor? Or should we just go with the Village as the commute would be very easy for all involved. I.e. is Awty worth all that extra commute?

Awty and Village school are supposedly both very strong, not first hand knowledge but from friends. Up to you which school you want to choose, I think Awty has more international population. Depending on your budget, if you want the AWTY school, live in 77024, 77055, 77063 or 77056 northern part. Even 77079 is not too far a commute since the Awty school is so close to IH10. If you live closer to loop 610, you can drop the kids off at school on the way to work, pick them up on the way home, and your're going opposite traffic.

Many, many Awty families live and work in the energy corridor. A quick search of the directory reveals 77041 as the most frequent zip code. Most if not all of these families live in Lakes on Eldridge which is serviced by an Awty bus route - no commute necessary. There are also bus routes to Dairy Ashford/Town&Country and to Shadow Briar/Memorial. Even without the bus Awty's location is still quite manageable, should you choose it.
