Ha, funny I just saw this thread and switched to Xfinity on Monday (install scheduled for Tuesday). Windstream has been a huge disappointment as of late. I pay $50/month for their 20mbps download and 3 up fiber plan. They recently updated me for free to 25mbps and 4 up. Some times I would get between 20-25 download speed but a lot of the time I would BARELY get 1mpbs. The thing that tripped me out the most was I downloaded a full game on my Xbox 1 and it literally took 48 hours to complete the download! I could have gone to Best Buy and bought the game but I pay for convenience and I thought that Windstream would be able to help. Also just like many other people, I could barely stream a movie that I wanted to watch on Amazon / Netflix. Hopefully Xfinity lives up to their reputation as far as internet speed. They had a good deal going for $39.99 for 25mbps for 1 year

They are in business because they are a monopoly in sugarland. Comcast is trying to compete but they are expensive

I pay $78 per month to windstream for 25mb/s. Only internet no tv

If you are a long time windstream customer, the problem might be your modem/router. I had problems with my windstream connection for years. I live in New Territory, and all of my neighbors have windsteam too. They also have had issues with windstream. I called in, and they told me my modem/router was too old. They sent me a new modem/router, and I have not had any problems with windstream since.

New Territory is not too far from where we are. I'm glad to know that you did not have any problems. We signed up with Windstream today. We decided to leave Comcast because they kept raising their prices. And when I chatted with an agent to get their new offer that was sent through the mail, they denied me and said that the offer is not available in my area. I got so pissed so I called Windstream and the rest is history. I don't have high hopes from Windstream, but they did offer a very nice TV package with ESPN and their prices are lower than Comcast.

Where do we complain or file petition that we as Sugarland/Stafford residents want ATT or any other companies to compete with this duopoly?
