Angry White City Trash Bags Suck

I hate the white city trash bags they make you use for tree branches & ward clipping these trash bags suck. They do not hold crapp about 5lbs is the max weight & the bag starts to rip open and for the price of 10 white trash bags I could get 30 black trash bags that will hold 15lbs no problem. The city made money off this that is the only reason the made everyone use the crappy trash bags.

+1. I equate them to the first generation of low flush toilets, which forced you to use more water because their ability to flush was so design-compromised. Hopefully now that the manufacturers are actually selling reasonable volumes of these truly awful bags, they will have the funds to dedicate to R&D.

I really want to like those bags, but when you can poke a hole in them simply trying to tie them up, with barely any leaves in them? Fail.

They're like the big brothers of Fiesta Mart plastic shopping bags.

I coughed real hard once and blew a hole through one of those.

Did you tried all the bags listed here?
compostable bags

You might want to opt for this instead:

While 95 percent of Houston households are using the approved biodegradable plastic bags for yard trimmings, there are complaints that the bags are too flimsy. Manufacturers are creating a thicker biodegradable bag (1.25 millileter thick vs. the current 1.0 millileter) that should be in stores next month.

BTW: city of San Antonio approved paper bags and cardboard boxes for yard trimmings. Didn't test them yet...

Eco guard ones suck - that's what I am using and that's what seems to be sold by Lowed / HD / and possibly Costco. Branches go in big 96 gal can because these bags won't hold them.

I love the brown bags for garbage not just lawn clippings - they work great.
