Would anyone have any opinions on Bear Creek Plantation in Katy?

It depends on what things are important to you in a community (i.e. schools, crime, neighbors, quality of builder, etc.)?

I have lived in the neighborhood (BCP) for 8 years and love the area. There is a lot of new develpment in the area which has increased conveniences. Now you have the best of city living in the Suburbs! Jowell Elementary has wonderful teachers and I have nothing but great things to say about the schools. I have wonderful neighbors and wouldn't dream of leaving.

I have lived here since 2006 and when I viewed the property I was amazed at the neighborhood the nice suberburban feel. Now Greenhouse has been opened from W. Little York and traffic flow is TERRIBLE!! Cars speed down that road all hours of the day blasting their loud music. Then the homes that they have built/building are bringing undiserables to the neighbourhood. Grafitti on some walls/signs and hangabouts are present. I'm truly dissapointed in the down turn. Jowell is a nice little school, but once again the demographics are changing and the better schools are not accepting in distict transfers because the area is growing so much. The little shopping centers popping up are also bringing a different demographcis to the area. All in all I can't wait to rent my house and get out of this community it has changed so drastically in such a short space of time!! So sad!
