Is the name H Town accepted by the general population? Or is it only accepted by the youth, say, younger than 30? Or only by certain classes of people, like low class? Or is it OK and accepted by everyone?

Like, does the news use it sometimes? Do doctors dentists and lawyers use it sometimes? Etc...

I've never referred to Houston as H Town and probably never will. I'd feel pretty ridiculous saying it. But I don't care if other people say it. It's not a big deal.

I have seen it used on Facebook statuses from friends who almost use FB as Twitter and update their every move (I am not one of those)...an example I see is "just got back to H-town", etc. I see it younger crowds but not necesarily under 30 years old. I have also seen it used in blogs/articles about upcoming Houston events.

Otherwise I have not seen it in use.
