As much as I have heard about TJ - I am probably going to be disappointed to actually see the store, as I will have built it up too much in my mind from the talk. (Much like A&M has done the city of Houston).

In my opinion, TJ's is not that great. They actually carry products with HFCS in them, while portraying a healthy face. At Whole Foods I don't have to read labels as much, but I still do at Trader Joe's.

Yeah. This has happened to me before. If I don't like Houston, I will be so shame!

Trader Joe's is cheaper than Whole Foods and they carry some good products. I hope they build a store here!

Trader Joe's is Trading on Texas: Dallas to Get First Store - Houston Restaurants and Dining - Eating Our Words

HEB is great (well, some of the stores anyway) but it still doesn't carry a lot of the stuff I loved buying at TJ's.

I hope their flower prices are better than HEB or Kroger. I can't believe what a stem of flowers costs here - $9.99 for stargazer lily stem?

I wonder why Dallas is first at getting stuff: In 'N Out, Trader Joe's, H&M, etc.

Trader Joes is not that amazing. You will find Whole Foods to be much better in quality. TJ has a few things that are ok but I think they are gross in some products. I have one right down the street and I almost never buy from them except for a very few items.

You Texans will not be impressed with In n Out! I tried it for a second time 2 weekends ago and it is very disappointing. My partner was also sorely disappointed. He had never tried them. Texas has too many really good hamburger places for In N Out to be favored. I grew up in Houston loving the good thick and juicy grilled hamburgers. In N Out will be a huge disappointment to you guys. Texas knows how to cook meats the right way!

The flower shops on Fannin in Midtown have great flowers at low prices. Dozen roses $6.00.
