I still like the Cypresswood area - not as quiet as it was, say, 10 years ago but still a far cry from the middle of the city. My dad lives off Louetta (Ella). HOAs there seem not overly intrusive; they and the Harris County fuzz keep the place pretty clean. Neighborhoods are older and have a distinct character. Rather McMansion-free, although it seems people have pretty broad definitions for "McMansions."

Default We love Edninburgh Estates

We just moved into Edinburgh estates. 84 homes excellent construction in a gated community. There were a bunch of foreclosures due to some type of mortgate fraud. We were able to pick up a fantastic deal. Our only reservation was the HS. Since we have moved we found out that the district will realign in two years and my son will be attending Klein.

Yes, the owners in Edinburgh Estates, Brandonwood, Woods of Wimbledon and other neighborhoods that are going to be re-zoned will see a nice bump up in value. If they can get Greenwood Forest in with that rezone, it's going to be a huge bump up for their home values (adding as much as $50K) and good for the whole area as well.

hi mr football, im the op. are you a real estate agent? thank you for posting the pictures. i like the cypress homes you pictured in a different thread.

these are the things which im looking for.

-my husband need to be somewhat close to airport. maybe 40 mins.
-i would like a good school district. i may have children. their education is very important to me.
-we would like a big beautiful home. i like those cypress homes in particular. my husband likes colonials. my husband would like a swimming pool or at least a yard where we can put one in (and hopefully we could secure the permits etc for that if it is needed).
-in a safe neighborhood.
-300-400, the lower the better.

my husband liked the northgate community because it boasted a country club. we both liked it because it seemed very family oriented. but we are open to other communities.

it is hard to know where to look, but id really love to narrow my trip down to a few zip codes when i go there next month. do you know of any particular zip codes that would be good for us anywhere in the houston area?

thank you and thanks so much for posting the beautiful pictures.

Default Hello

Hello David, If you don't mind me asking? Do you have a lawn service company? If so how much do they do charge you? What is the going rate around your neighorhood? I'm moving down there and I'm going to start up a landscaping / Lawn care company and Im doing some research.
