I have been fostering a dog since April that was found tied to a tree with no food or water. His previous owners were abusive and didn't take care of him at all. A friend of the previous owners asked a friend of mine to find him a foster home and I volunteered.

I did not realize it was going to this long though as that was not the original agreement. In any case, a new forever home needs to be found for him.

His name is Bam, he's almost 2 years old, and he is a pit bull/boxer mix. He's very sweet and loving and needs to be in a home where there are no other pets or only female pets (it's an alpha male dog thing apparently). Bam would do wonderfully with a retired person or couple of any age who has a lot of time to give him.

If anyone can help or knows someone who needs a good dog, please let me know. Also, I have already tried the rescue groups and such around the area and their shelters/foster homes are full with long waiting lists.

I can't help you (we have a male dog) but meetup.com has a Houston dog group that you might want to post this info. on.
