We are moving to Katy in two weeks...I am curious about any places that serves only breakfast/lunch in Katy? Any places you would recommend?

Only breakfast and lunch? You might have to look real hard to find that anywhere these days.

Katy is compromised of huge subdivisions of houses and national chains. The few locally-owned restaurants that are here seem to be hidden.

Do you mean like brunch? Some of the chain restaurants that serves breackfast all day long are located all over Houston: Cracker Barrel (I-10 & Barker-Cypress), Denny's (Fry Rd. & Park Row).

You can look up some more restaurants in Houston & vicinity areas, and reviews on this website: B4-U-EAT - Houston Restaurant Guide

A place like that would not do any business here. In fact, many of the restaurants don't really get too busy until 7:30 or so. However, you can probably find what you are looking for in Old Katy. Try places like La Centerra or Villagio. I know there's a place called the Public House in Villagio that closes early in the afternoon but that may just be a bar.
