Take the Beltway all the way around (south).

Beltway is smooth sailing going that direction from West side. Get in left lane, use your EZ tag, and fly. Exit Telephone Rd., north on Telephone will run you directly to the airport. It's a snap.

Also, for reasons which are unclear to me, the two gas stations at Telephone and the Beltway are always about a nickel cheaper than west side stations. Just sayin'....

Definitely fill up while in the east end. On Super unleaded I saw a 20 cent a gallon difference between mid-town and the east end.

well, now the flight isn't getting in untill 8pm, a 6 1/2 delay for them.yikes. But, I may still do the Beltway to avoid that whole 610 mess.

Have 'em parachute out as they pass over your place. Wouldn't that be a great option?

If I was you, I'd just take the Westpark Tollway to 610, and then take 610 to 45. Or just exit Telephone from 610.

HA! If they get any higher in the Airport Bar, they might be able to fly to Houston by themselves.

Now that's funny!

I live in the west (Briar Forest/Kirkwood), and I will tell you: even though it is $8 in tolls round trip (I know this, for I turned in an expense account today for my last trip), it is still so much easier than dealing with 610....I just pay it and go on.

Hope they get here tonight sometime....
