come on, you're a moderator. you should have checked the profile (where it clearly says the OP's background) before bringing up racism (even if you're saying she's NOT racist--because it still makes it seem like maybe she is and you're just trying to give her the benefit of the doubt). Or was your post an 'orphan' post referring to something that is no longer present in this thread?

Events and Adventures is a great way to make friends. I found that the best way to meet friends is through work. I started going to happy hour with my coworkers and with some of them grew a real friendship.

So why isn't the OP responding to any of your suggestions?

Maybe he took all the advice and he's out hanging with some new friends.

Default Saudi Organization at UH

I know it's not in Clear Lake, but the University of Houston has an organization for Saudis to help them make friends and adjust to the culture.

Where in his post did he say he's looking for people from Turkey or the Middle East? Just because he might be from Turkey does not mean that's the only kind of people he is looking for How ignorant.

Go to bars or clubs. Or join a sports club etc. I personally like volleyball. Or go to any 4th of July event and mingle with the people there. Plenty of opportunities!
