I am so entertained that you think I am a guy. All the guys I know are laughing out loud!

You come across as a very angry authority and police hater. I am glad there are law enforcers out there to protect us from haters like you

When the petition to get the issue on the ballot was going around COH went out and raised the YCI to avoid it being an issue in the election. This also contributed to a reduction in accidents and violations that they contributed to the cameras.

Houston Coalition Against Red Light Cameras - SHORT YELLOW
I posted the TXDot link for how they determine yellow light timing. 3-6 secs depending on several factors. If indeed the yellow timing was shortened then why not find the culprits and stop blaming the red light cameras? The red light cameras don't need help to capture and photo those that run red lights. So why not find the culprits who are cheating the yellow light timing instead of bad mouthing the red light cameras? On the same note why not rattle the Texas Legislature and Comptroller for not distributing the money collected in fines as they were supposed to be distributed...again not the fault of the red light cameras...it's bad politics as usual. I would spend my effort on finding out who is responsible for the supposedly shortened yellow light timing and where did the money go vs. trying to put the blame on the red light camera.

You want to blame the red light cameras as the culprits...the cameras do what they are supposed to do.

You have never posted anything to disprove anything that I have posted. I have posted from sources that are not for or against the red lights. I have posted raw data...you only post what the opposition has come up with. If you run a red light you are videoed from the green light turning into a yellow light onto the red light. The video will show if you enter the intersection and the light turns yellow...3.4 secs is visible to the human eye and you would not be guilty for running a red light if you entered the intersection and happened to hit a 3 second yellow light.

You are grasping at straws again.

I am very pleased that the cameras are back on.

If you think there is a scandal then expose the culprits...now that would be a worthy cause indeed.

This latest logical trainwreck is brilliant, it really is. So what if the camera company installs their cameras where they know there are short yellow lights. I mean they just take advantage of and profit from the poor engineering they didn't create it. What's wrong with that right? Of course knowing as much as they do they should inform the city and recommend fixing the problem while they are tying everything together but no it isn't their fault for taking advantage of the poor engineering and turning their head while they get artificially high revenue they wouldn't if the intersection was legally timed. Like I sad, brilliant, rock solid reasoning.

I got one of those camera tickets the month following the 'turn-off' here in Houston and refused to pay it. I was repeatedly billed/harrassed by this corporation in Arizona and Ohio, then a lawyer's office. I told them to 'come and get it.'

I called the Houston Police and they said no warrant will be issued, e.g. there is no force in law. The invoice these scammers sent me actually said in fine print, 'payment is admission of your guilt.' How much more phony can it get?

Their next tactic was to try and stop vehicle registration renewal for my car. So I called the Harris County Tax Assessor's Office and asked if they were going to refuse to take my money for vehicle registration and they said no - that they would indeed renew my registration.

The red light camera scam is a lucrative racket, a criminal enterprise that has ripped-off citizens for millions of dollars - except for this one - they won't get a dime from me.

Ditto ethanw. Why don't you go away since you really have had nothing but ignorant hate to spew in all of your posts. You both sit well with A&M

baytownb...the lights that your opposition came up with and reported for Houston as being shortened yellows were all over 3 secs. The TxDOT mandates that yellows be between 3 and 6 seconds. Now surely you can watch your guilty self run the red light and are able to count to 3 seconds in the video that is produced...so how is this a scam?

I will be the better MAN and do just that... There is another thread on this issue, why don't you hand your arse to that one as well and see how far your ignorance will go this time

Red Light Camera tickets unenforceable

Add this to the long list of things you post about as if you know what you are talking about but are flat wrong on. 3-6 seconds is the federal mandate, Texas camera law (707) requires camera locations follow the TMUTCD which uses the ITE formula based on engineering principles primarily based on the approach speed. The minimum legal Yellow change intervals for each of those intersections is listed in the column, of course if you actually read it you would know that. Please, please stop posting wholely false information and acting like you have the most remote clue about what you are talking about, you really really don't have a clue. You are so woefully underprepared for this conversation I am beginning to become embarrased for you.
