A pipeline from the oil sands in Canada???? This should be a wake up call. If we are looking to Canadian oil sands for oil to refine then we have bigger problems than environmental issues to contend with.

I really wish gasoline would at least be as expensive as the coffee we all buy at the Starbucks' drive-thru in our big SUV's....

Well, I guess that is a different post. I'm happy they are delaying this venture. What a huge waste.

What's the point of having the government run space industry (NASA)?

the government being involved with NASA is completely different than saying science has no reason to be involved in politics. one is a science program that stemmed from military/government funding and the other is the basis for creating a working, peer viewed, studied form of government. the term science means a lot more than "space stuff"

the pipeline is a silly thing on the most basic principle. a dry pipeline we will spend billions on when we have already spent billions and billions on the oil sands and have yet to see a turnaround? we spent a lot of money to get that pit pumping! people are so mad about waste and fraud in the government if they only could read the information about what we have spent up north... but wait they can

Personally I believe they are all absent minded...Privledge and inherited status does not guarentee good genetic product..Looks like you Americans have inbred yourselves as far as leadership - to the point that you acutally elect a leader that should be washing toilets at the local gas station. Good luck..you are going to need it.

The pipeline is also supposed to transport oil from the Bakken Oil Formation in North Dakota to Houston and Port Arthur.

Wasn't the Alaskan media Queen building a pipeline in Alaska?
I didn't hear anybody complain about that.
