My home search has taken me to Fall Creek and Canyon Gate at Park Lakes (Park Lakes Estates). In my opinion this area is a sleeping giant.

Does anyone have information on proposed or upcoming development projects (theaters, mall, restaurants) for this area?

Default It's not the hottest spot for growth but it's ok.

I know there is a Big Dinosaur park slated for the New Caney area. There are many new home builders in the Atascosita-Humble area. I mean it is a decent area but not like a major growth hub or anything. The Major Growth hubs are all on the Western-Northwestern-Northern and southwestern half of Houston. So if it is a sleeping giant then it may be sleeping for a while yet.

My comment stems from the expansion/elevation of the Tollway in that area..

I live in Fall Creek and I have seen construction pick up. I know they are building behind Walgreens and have seen that they have added to the strip were Mi Rancho is at. So its a possibility it could be a sleeping giant. This area is close to the airport and not too far from Downtown.

The growth of the area also might be helped by the new ExxonMobil campus being built on the north side of town.

I live in Fall Creek and it's convenience to downtown, Greenspoint, and the airport is excellent. I wish the growth of retail/restaurant/entertainment options along BW8 and 59N would happen at a faster pace, but it's going to happen eventually.
