Our daughter has been at Red for the past two years, and we LOVE the school. The teachers and staff are warm, welcoming, and open to questions and parent engagement. The PTO is VERY involved and truly make a difference on the campus. The GT and Magnet offerings are fantastic. We moved to Willowbend largely because of our interest in the school and are very happy with our choice, and since we've been here we notice more and more neighborhood families are choosing Red as well. (note that the statistics cited above aren't current -- they are 3 years old and aren't indicative of academic performance at the school)

Oh, and the cost difference between here and many houses zoned to Kolter/Parker isn't because of the elementary zoning so much as the high school zoning -- houses zoned to Bellaire HS often sell for $100K more than identical houses one block over zoned to Westbury HS. Sad, but true.
