Default Houston's left lane turds

Now that I got a new job,
I have a commute from Sugar Land to Conroe

Can somebody tell me why in h.... do people drive on the left lane of the highway doing 2 under the speed limit while 100 cars are riding his/her behind trying to pass?

Do people get tickets for blocking the highway that way?

Oh Dopo. That move cannot come soon enough. I'm so sorry. That is an insane commute.

I drive a similar stretch of I-45. it's full of idiot drivers that do that. I wish I could tell you why. I usually am booking it- but if some reason someone's right up behind me, I move over to let them by.
