What is the average cost of homeowner's insurance in the Houston area? I'm looking at an approx. 2000 sf home in the Spring/Tomball area?

We are with USAA and are paying approx. $1700 -- 3100 sq ft in south Katy

You're best bet is quoting online. With the recent hurricane and fires rates might be up.

i had read somewhere in looking for mine that houston average was 1500. of course it may be an average but what you would get could be wildly different.

i believe mine is $1300 for a 2090 sqft 1960s home in the city of houston
