I listen to the Jim Rome Sports Show during my lunch break and today he was broadcasting live from Houston. He gave a lot of props to the city Houston. Many nice things were said about the fine city. A few of his comments reminded me of some recent posts I have read here on city data regarding humidity in Houston vs. other cities. Here was the email Jim received during his radio show and read on the air today.

"Dear Jim,

Welcome back to Houston. I've missed you!

Sincerely,

Humidity

P.S. Sorry for punching you in the face when you got off the plane!"

That's funny. For a lot of the summer, the humidity here in DFW was actually as bad if not worse than in Houston (because of all the rain). But in the last week or so, it's dipped back down to it's usual 39% or so. I swear, once the humidity gets over 50%, it's downright uncomfortable for me.

Dear Rome,

You cannot broadcast within 1,500 feet of a church, school, park or other *sensitive area* per Houston city ordinance.

Sincerely,
Bill White, Mayor of Houston

Yeah, I listened to the show. He gave Houston a lot of props. Steve Francis and Andre Johnson were on (among other people). Sports Radio 610 is one of the main reasons why Jim Rome is on the radio today.

You mean Jim Rome is why Sports Radio 610 is on the radio today...other than Rome that station has next to nothing anymore.
