It's raining all over the state. Some parts of North Texas got up to 8 inches of rain! For the first time this year I've seen the Trinity River out of its banks.

It's been wonderful but I have no faith in it lasting. This is Houston. They say it'll rain all week but I'm sure the Hades sun will be beaming through my window tomorrow morning and it will be 80 degrees.

As of late, the rain has been a fluke. One rainy day then the next so dry you'd think you imagined the rain

I'll be surprised if it even drizzles tomorrow. It just hasn't been consistent thus far.

Be positive for once! Geez!

Anyway, I don't know about you guys, buy I registered 68 degrees at one point. Perfect for me is the upper 70's to mid 80's (with moderate to no humidity) now. But I do still love cooler weather. Will probably love this winter, also.

Definitely...the people in San Francisco have it pretty darn good!

A good rain storm at last!

And it lasted for hours - awesome!

Seeing all the dead grass, the many dying small trees and especially, the strange behavior of animals around our house and all the weird bugs IN our house I've never seen before makes me appreciate all the wetness surrounding us now.

This drought literally sucks the life out a region, figuratively and literally, and I don't think I have ever been so happy to see it rain. Plus I finally get to see my new wireless rain gauge display something other than 0.00".

We got about 4.5 inches over here in West Pearland. Hooray for the rain!
