The Garden Ridge store near the north entrance to The Woodlands, facing I-45 has been on fire for the last hour or so. A friend in the area at the time reported it has burned down.

Early online news sources are reporting that employees are all safe, but no certain reportsyet on customers.

Glad to read that all the employees are accounted for. I hope the same goes for all their customers.

Oh No! That's a real bummer! Hope everyone's okay.

Txgal - Are they different? I've only ever been to the Willowbrook one and the one by us a couple of times.

The good news with the fire at Garden Ridge Pottery, located at I-45 South and Texas 242 in Conroe, is that everyone got out of the store safely, District Manager Tom O'Neal said.
One store employee ran through the building checking restrooms to make sure customers were out, O'Neal said. All employees are accounted for, and there is "no indication" that any customers remained inside, he said.

BTW: As one of the city's "big box" stores, Garden Ridge straddles the city limits between Conroe and The Woodlands Township. The cash registers are located in Conroe, the result of an annexation agreement reached between the neighboring communities in 2006.

Manager: 'No indications' of any customers left in Garden Ridge during fire - Your Houston News: News:
