Sunbelt? You mean south belt?

North of Ellington isn't a good area (run down, industrial w/ a large landfill nearby).

West of it is OK-- just lacking amenities.

East of it is mostly oilfields, except for a piece of Northfork in Clear Lake City, which is a nice neighborhood. South of Ellington is also part of Clear Lake City and is also a good area.

The noise from fighter jets and coast guard helicopters comes during the daytime, mostly on weekends when the reserves do their practicing. It's hit or miss. At night it shuts down and there is no noise. It's part of the personality of the area, having fighter jets whizz by. I like it, also nice being able to watch a lot of the airshow from the back yard. But it's a deal-breaker for some.
