Go deep into the MPC's and you will. You can't park cars on both side of the streets. If you do, no one can get home and there is a lot of honking and swearing.

Sidewalks are neither a negative nor a positive in neighborhoods without traffic.IMHO. Eventually though they do become a maintenance problem, the kind normal wheelchairs couldn't handle. I don't miss not having them here, and I certainly don't miss having them in Briargrove, where no one used them because of all the heaving and oak tree damage.

Which MPC has this problem? I've never seen such narrow streets before (outside 610).

Our next door neighbor USED to park his car on the street...until it got sideswiped by someone driving a big truck of some sort. Ripped a huge gash all the way down the side of the car. They don't park on the street anymore.

My prior subdivision had sidewalks on the major streets. Some kid, reaching for something jumped the curb and sidewalk and ran over 3 kids playing in their own yard.

My current northwest Harris County subdivision has no homeowner parking on the street. Plenty of folks walk and ride bikes daily. Some idiot thought he could park his boat on the street. That lasted less than 48 hours. Half the neighborhood knocked on his door and pointed out his conduct was dangerous to rest of us. Shunning is a good thing.
