Default Friendswood safety

Could anyone please give me some information on the area around the apartment complex called the Reserve at Autumn Creek in Friendswood?

I am a young, single girl and I need a place that is SAFE!

Thank You!

Having previously worked with the public there, and having lived all over that area, Friendswood is safe enough. Like Pearland and League City, these are basically country towns experiencing growing pains as the commuters are moving there in droves. There are plenty of plantation attitudes among other backward-ness from people who cannot and will not comprehend that their town is essentially a suburb. It'll probably take another generation to dilute this out. If that turns you off, then you can spend a bit more money in Webster or Clear Lake in the Houston city limit. Crime might be slightly higher in this area. However all of these places are not without their remote problems.

I live in Heritage Park which is considered county to Friendswood. We receive the local community paper and they list the crimes committed the previous week. There is not a lot of crime in Friendswood. From the Friendswood Journal crimes reported during the week of 8-24 to 8-29 : 4 DWI 9 narcotics (most of which were traffic violations who were found to have pot on their person driving through) 4 public intoxications, Misc crimes eg, vandalism, fraud, theft, etc...17. Most of the thefts were things like phones being stolen. The vandalism was a mailbox being knocked down. So crime here is relatively zero. I feel perfectly safe in my neighborhood after dark. Good luck with your move. My family loves it here.

Just be aware and use common sense in Friendswood or anywhere. Just because something doesn't usually happen there doesn't mean it can't. And remember that eventually you'll venture out of Friendswood as well and there are some sketchy parts of southeast Houston that are not too terribly far away. Friendswood is still a far cry from Bissonet/Beltway 8/59 or anything like that and you have very little if anything to worry about aside from sporadic property crime.

The portion of Friendswood that is in Harris County seems to be not as well-off as the Galveston County portion, and I've heard that the crime factor is slightly higher there. It is near I-45 and major highway corridors are always higher risks for certain crimes such as auto thefts or robberies (usually at convenience stores or shopping centers) where the freeway provides a convenient getaway route. Still this element is far less present in the Friendswood/Clear Lake/League City area than most stretches of 45 elsewhere in the Houston city limits.

Friendswood (go into Friendswood, not on the fringes - the fringes are relatively safe, the interior is just more so), the "old" part of Pearland, Seabrook, League City are all very safe for a young single girl.
