Hello, just wanted to introduce myself here, first time posting and new to the Houston area.

I found this single bedroom condo, by gessner and westpark area. There are some condo's called Idle Wood Condo's. Is this a nice area for living? Anyone know about this place? Just wondering, as in I am thinking about buying the condo and maybe living there for a short period and maybe rent it out in the sometime future.

Any recommendations? Thanks.

No it is just me, a single bedroom, single person condo.

Just looking for the areas reputation and quality of life. Because I come to Houston a couple time a month, depending on my job. Also thinking about renting it in the future.

Where do you need to be? In this area, maybe only the apartments around Royal Oaks are fine

This place is hit or miss. But being a Condo, you may be fine. Check out the Condo rules. Ask what are the requirements for owners to rent out their units. You can have low class folks renting these units. Take a walk around the complex during the afternoon on a weekend day. Also, take a spin late at night (11pm-ish), and feel the vibe. Is it quiet? Are people hanging? Lots of traffic in and out the complex? Etc.

Some complexes are more strict than others. So ask lots of questions. The area is close to the Galleria area, Uptown, Energy Corridor and West Houston and Southwest Houston. So depending on where you work, it could be a great commute.

Good luck!

It's both - portions of Chinatown and Westchase overlap - Westpark Tollway is Chinatown's northern boundary

Gessner at Westpark, Houston, TX - Google Maps
