I am a Houston native who recently moved back after going to school in the DFW area for six years. Sprouts was my favorite market to shop at while I was living there, but there isn't a Sprouts in Houston!

For now, I'm shopping at Whole Foods, but it's nickname isn't 'Whole Check' for nothing. Are there any Sprouts-like markets or co-ops here? Some place with affordable prices and lots of healthy foods?

I do not know what a Sprout's store is. HEB has an alternative called "Central Market" at Westheimer and Weslayan. Trader Joe's is opening a location in the Woodlands in spring.

We have some local farmer's markets around Houston also.

Canino's on Airline puts Sprouts to shame, although I heard that the chain is supposed to expand into the (very competitive) Houston market.

I believe Sprouts use to be called Sun Harvest. There aren't any in Houston.

Sprouts and Sun Harvest are two different stores.

There is nothing like Sprouts here but we do have real farmers' market (on airline) and some city ones around. we also have various CSA's

I wish we had one but I don't ever see it happening here, I LOVE sprouts. I'll be hitting it up next week when I'm in Austin.

The one in Sugarland is closing after opening for a short time. They're moving to two other locations like 11 and 13 miles away. Not sure what happened, but i guess business must be slow.

The whole point of going to the Sprouts in Sugarland was that it was so fast, easy & convenient for small impromptu shopping after work. No way in heck would I spend 30 min each way in Houston traffic just to go to another Sprouts.

They have lost my business. Can get what I need between the HEB and Whole Foods.
