I drove through Twin Lakes this weekend and it was beautiful. I would have loved to check out Lakes on Eldridge too, but I guess I will have to wait til I have a specific house in mind and go with a realtor since it's a gated community. Anyway, I'm wondering about morning traffic. Will it be bumper to bumper traffic heading down to I-10 in the mornings (8:00-ish) or does the traffic flow nicely? I will be taking the 228 Park & Ride, so I would either need to take Eldridge to I-10 and down the feeder to Hwy 6, or take Eldridge to Clay, then Hwy 6 to the Park & Ride lot.

Thanks.

Traffic can get pretty heavy nearing I-10, you'll find most roads that feed into a freeway to be heavy around 8:00ish.

I usually make it through the light at I-10/Kirkwood right away or the max of 1 light cycle. Just wondered how it was coming from the north down to I-10 on Eldridge. Thanks.

It's the route I use going to I-10 anytime during rush hour - unlike Hwy 6, the traffic flows. Then, when you get to I-10 - you are doing a reverse from the heavy traffic.

Great. I was hoping someone who travelled that way would see my note. Thank you, cheryjohns!

I used to take that route almost 10 years ago and it used to back up to Patterson Rd. Has it really improved that much since then?

It backs up on 6 at Patterson (in fact, from I-10 to about 529, on 6, it's all hellish during rush hour). Eldridge is pretty smooth. Whenever I get the light at Patterson at Eldridge, everyone goes at the next green.
