When will Houston become a place where stars of every race and culture want to live? Can you see Houston hosting music award shows?

Nope. Houston is a business town, centered around tech, O&G and medical.

No, Houston is a business city.

If a city in Texas will be a magnet for celebs, it will be Austin.

Why do you think so? Austin is losing its novelty. Celebs seem to want the new thing. I would think if Celebs pick up something it will be one of the up and coming areas with a lot of action.

Are you wanting it to be like this? Why?

It already hosts plenty of large sporting events. There were some celebrities here recently for the Tribeca Film Fest and Sundance. We also have plenty of our own home-grown festivals and events. If celebrities want to come to these, great. If not, great. I don't think Houston is overly concerned about such superficial things as name-dropping who came to town and trying to prove they can hang with the big boys of the region. Leave that to Austin.

Celebrities have a ton of money and can live wherever they want. Why would they want to live in Houston? Any celebrity that would choose Houston to live in would be really stupid. The world is their playground. Why waste any of it here?

I was just asking out of curiosity. I mean it seems like Houston is tied into jobs that it forgets about fun. LOL! People like Drake, like I've said before, love Houston because of its strip clubs. Also, from my understanding, Houston is a "mecca" for professional athletes.
