no. it shows that that area supports as many people as there are in a metro that you are familiar with, so who cares how far it is from downtown.

Reading this whole thread has made me realize how desperately Houston's public transportation infrastructure needs updating. I know METRO just got a bunch of money from the feds to finish up the next two light rail lines but if our population is growing this rapidly, I'm afraid it's too little too late.

Somebody needs to REALLY put some thought and research into a commuter infrastructure.

Well, you guys need to take it to the next level because sitting at the computer typing complaints isn't going to work. Don't we live in a DEMOCRACY?!

It is never too late. NY was waaaaaaay more crowded.

in the early 1900's NY's lines were slowly improving but they had double the number of people we have in half the area back then.
