I hate to keep this going, but IIRC, it used to be 11.99, then changed to 11.49 since so many modern cars can get to high 11's with a few changes. They realized they would chase away a ton of racers, and these guys are driving mostly new cars with safety equipment vastly superior to the average guy in an 80's car, so they lowered it.

Well, I wasn't running anywhere near either 11.99 nor 11.49, so the point is moot, I guess. All I'm sayin' is what I was told.

Wow you guys got way more serious than I did... I got my Mustang beater into "driver needs a helmet" territory and then sold it off.

Dinan Stage 3 BMW 850i V12 Twin Turbo's. Only 3 left running out of 4 in entire USA
The dual supercharger project is on a 850CSi with a 5.6 engine. One engine blown one more to go. Expensive tuning affair which I don't recommend for ones pocket. May revert back to custom twin turbos. Depending on the "wife" factor mostly for the "expensive" tolerance

...and what is it? 760i? Stage 1,2,3 means nothing unless you reference the builder or what that actually means. I can say I have a stage 1 turbo, means nothing, masterpower T76 1.00 AR T4 means something. Of course, you are probably talking about something much larger, or two slightly larger.

Oh, very cool.

Thats always been one of my favorite cars. Im a sucker for late 80's early 90's stuff. Not exactly the best era for power, but Im 34, so that was my sweet spot for dreaming about cars. I looked at an 8 series awhile back. Looked pretty clean, but the seller was a weird guy that sells "almost exotics" and didnt seem very trustworthy.

My first car at 16 was a 1984 Buick T-Type with an 86-87 style intercooled engine swap. Fun car, but just a horrible choice for a 16 year old. Now, I have a fox body Thunderbird project with a mildly built 306. Buying a Si Vortech by the end of the year.

I'll take my pushrod engine with 8 cylinders and still do 28mpg on the highway while running 11's with just drag radials over 4 banger econoboxes thank you very much. I'm surprised people after college want a 4 banger.

No V12's in my price range. Plus changing out the valve springs would get old.
