I have noticed that alot of things get asked about houston, from the skyline to why is downtown seem to have so few people moving around, and the one thing i have not seen is questions about the tunnels

The downtown tunnel system is awesome. The reason it's not well-known is probably because it is not advertised and is not meant to be a tourist attraction but a functional part of the downtown infrastructure.

That is the sad part too. I think this pretty much sums Houston up right? All work and no play. Could you imagine the Houston Underground? This is just one example of how Houston fails when it comes to entertainment.

Hopefully not. Its a clean system for use by working professionals. We dont need it to become a party spot where drunks and vagrants sleep and relieve themselves...like other areas 'underground'.

^^^What they said. I work downtown, and I use the tunnels a lot. I don't want a bunch of tourist and bums walking around making it more crowded than it already is. Making the lines at the food places longer than they already are.
