I close on my house tomorrow.

I used Braxton Sherril with Liere Insurance.

bsherrill@myliere.com
Liere Insurance

He is an insurance broker based in College Station.

So instead of calling State Farm and just getting one quote, Braxton bids your insurance out to 20-30 different insurance companies to see who can provide you with the best rate.

He was extremely helpful, as I am a first time homebuyer. Very competitive rates and very educational.

Please let him know that Brent M. referred you.

Why the hell would the OP want a broker in College Station? I want to be able to drive over and slap my broker around if I want to. This is terrible advice.

OP: Find a local Agent, not someone out of town. Any Agent in Houston can get you multiple quotes.

Just sayin'...

Ronnie

He asked for a recommendation.

I used Braxton b/c he was referred to me as someone who did a good job. I was very pleased, so I'm passing on a recommendation.

I got a quote from a local State Farm agent in Houston, an Amica agent in Houston, and then I called Braxton.

He shopped about 20 insurance carriers, provided me the 3 best quotes, and 2 of them beat both the State Farm & Amica quotes, while also providing me with better coverage & lower deductibles.

Unlike doctors or real estate agents, there is no reason for an insurance guy to have to live near you.
