I suppose this was a news too, but no one mentioned:

I never claimed my story was the Big News...just hoping for the best. Any creature taken against it's will is news worthy IMO

At least your link has a good ending

TVC15 I feel the same as you. The owners (adults and children) of pets love them as any other member of the family. I truly home some good samaritan found her and takes her in and loves her. Maybe your link will get her noticed by more people in case they see her wandering and assume she is a stray. People who love animals have good hearts. For some reason, I don't feel like this one is going to happy ending.

The news sidestepped mentioning it but was the little girl IN the car while the mom made a quick run in the store or had she just put the little girl in the backseat after they both came out of the store then the car jacker approached her?

It sounds to me like the car jacker was just watching this lady get out of her nice pickup, go into the store alone, then come back and he wanted her car.

Oddly enough, this was a crook with a conscious if he dropped the girl off nearby because he could have went to his destination and just dropped her off miles and miles away.

I think he didn't know there was a kid in the car because he saw a woman get out of a car alone (left her kid in the car). Since he obviously had a conscious, I'd suspect had he saw her put the girl in the car, he'd demand the keys then say open the door and get your kid and step away. Then burn rubber in the truck. She's so lucky he didn't want her kid. But he had to not have noticed her beforehand ie. didn't see her coming out of the store with the girl.

I'm happy they got their daughter back but if she did leave that girl in the car while she made a quick run in the store shame on her! Ever if you're running to the local Valero to get a pack of gum, if you take the kid with you, that kid goes into the store with you too.

People leave pets in a car all the time. Pets are like children and I know I love mine something fierce (probably more than 1 or 2 shyster, outskirts cousins by blood) by it's still a pet. A child is never left the the car.

Ever.

I hope they mention it soon because I'm smelling a mom leaving her kid in a car.

This mom had her car stolen with her son in the backseat. Of course, he was left in the car just for a "few minutes" while she ran into the store and the car was still running. Fiesta mom obviously did the same thing. You don't leave a running car with a kid alone! Some adult or older kid teenage like should be in there with them. A baby can't fight someone off.

I thought this thread was about me

I really hope the thief returns the dog or at least drops her off at a safe place where she will be returned.

Everyday going to work I drive by several mangy pathetic looking dogs and no one seems to care. What's so special about Maggie? This really shouldn't have made the news in the 4th largest city in the country. Maybe the Lufkin news but certainly not the Houston news.
