Was curious, since the area is new, who do you guys use for internet, tv and phone? I tried to call comcast, verizon and they do not service the area. and we really need to get internet up badly.

Direct TV is satellite. You can get direct tv in any section that has blue sky above it.

Great, who would you guys recommend for internet services in the area? I am so use to having comcast all these years and had no problems and great speeds.

Direct TV has Internet service, as well. It may be an option until AT&T, or Comcast is available.

How's the internet using satellite though? I'm concerned about downstream speed mostly. I use to get around 15Mbps downstream with comcast. It's a real bummer finding out who can service internet out here.

That I don't know, but if you have to have something, I'm assuming that it's better than nothing. Has Comcast said they had no plans to extend service to where you are at? If its a new section, typically that infrastructure goes in right after CenterPoint runs the gas and electrical loops. It's hard to believe that no cable / Internet provider is there.

Edit- actually its not unusual to call Comcast and have the person not know where they do or don't have service, particularly in newer subdivisions. If you are already there, have you looked to see if there are any Comcast pedestals in place in the neighborhood? That would be where I would start.

Hi, I'm closing on my house (Section 21 in PMR) tomorrow and am having difficulty in finding internet/phone providers (other than "Consolidated Communications", which everyone is telling me to stay away from). Has anyone recently moved into the new sections of PMR? What internet/phone service are you using?
I was able to get TV service through Direct TV, but both Comcast and AT&T are telling me that they do not service my street and area.
Who are you using for internet/phone service?
Thanks in advance for the help.

We lived in Cinco on the south side of PMR and had consolidated for 5 years. No complaints. We now moved to Cardiff (West Side of PMR) and have entouch. So far so good... blazing fast 22MBPS (Up to 50 MPBS available) I would assume since they are right next to each other that they would service that area as well. Talk to your salesperson, I'm sure they can give you more info...
