Best Bar-B-Que Pork Ribs in the Houston Area?
I am a fan of Pizzatola's and Goode Company Pork Ribs but haven't had any luck finding any other good places (although Barnaby's of all places have some killer Danish Pork Ribs.) I prefer smoke pit with dry rub. Any suggestions? And do not say Thelma's! That place may be good but it is totally unsanitary and thier sauce has something in it that makes my lip swell up like a blister.

Baker's Ribs is one of the better places in the city. I can't stand stuff dripping in sweet, red BBQ sauce. If I remember right, they serve the ribs dry with the rub, with a bottle of warm sauce on the side.

Good luck. Texas does not do a very good job at pork bbq. It even makes people angry here.

Also, depending where you are in Houston it may be a bit of a drive since he sells in Sienna Plantation. Only sells on Saturday and he is only there until he sells out. You can pre-order via the website and I would recommend that because I think he always sells out of the ribs.

I second this notion. You can buy an inexpensive smoker and with indirect heat make your own ribs. Give it a try. You'll never buy them from a restaurant again, I promise.
