Default The Woodlands

The woodlands are so beautiful.(would love to live there) Could someone tell me if there are HOA dues? and are the property taxes sky high? Like on a 300,000-400,000 home?
And are the property taxes lower in some of the surounding areas...like spring? Magnolia? Tomball? Conroe? Willis? Huntsville even?

Thanks for and advice

The Woodlands has a graduated assessment fee that is based upon your home's appraised value. It can be quite large.

On the flipside, The Woodlands is currently in a regulated utility market, and the electricity bills are less than what you'd pay a few miles away in a deregulated utility market.

In other words, it balances out.

Not much in terms of public transportation in The Woodlands. However, you could ride up and down the Waterway all day.

There's not much public transportation anywhere unless you take Metro. Or if you are downtown you could take the toy train.
